Los Gatos schools on the 2025 California School Dashboard
The state's Dashboard measures English and math as points above or below the grade-level standard on the state test, where 0 means the average student met the standard exactly. Each result also gets one of five colors, from Red through Orange, Yellow and Green to Blue, which blends this year's level with the change since last year. All figures below are for all students, from the California Department of Education's 2025 Dashboard files.

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District scored 97.0 above standard in English and 64.4 in math, with a 96.7% graduation rate. These scores do not measure class size, teaching quality or electives, so visit schools before you decide where to buy.
Los Gatos Union School District: elementary and middle schools
The district runs four elementary schools and one middle school. Its registration page says families are directed to their neighborhood school during sign-up, transitional kindergarten students move on to kindergarten at their school of residence, and fifth graders move automatically to Raymond J. Fisher Middle School.
Blossom Hill Elementary
Blossom Hill scored 67.3 points above standard in English and 67.7 in math. Both results are Green rather than Blue because scores fell from the year before, by 3.7 points in English and 10.2 in math. Its chronic absence rate of 5.4% was rated Orange because it rose by 1.8 points.
Daves Avenue Elementary
Daves Avenue had the district's highest elementary English score, 81.2 points above standard, up 13.1 points, and 73.7 in math. Both are Blue. About 29 of its 561 students counted for attendance were chronically absent, a 5.2% rate.
Lexington Elementary and its IB program
Lexington is the district's smallest school: only 72 students had English scores counted. It offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, which the district describes as inquiry-based and transdisciplinary. Its English score was 56.0 points above standard and math 51.6, both Green. Families elsewhere in the district can ask for an intradistrict transfer to Lexington when space allows.
Louise Van Meter Elementary
Van Meter posted the district's biggest gains: up 13.6 points in English to 52.1 above standard, and up 20.2 in math to 60.8. Both are Blue. Its 4.0% chronic absence rate was the lowest in the district.
Raymond J. Fisher Middle School
Fisher is the district's only middle school, with 985 students counted in math. It scored 68.4 above standard in English and 68.8 in math, both Blue, roughly level with the year before. Chronic absence was 6.5%, down 1.0 point.
High school: Los Gatos High and the high school district
Los Gatos High School
Los Gatos High is the district's school for most of the town. In 2025 it scored 86.1 points above standard in English and 38.6 in math, both Blue, and 508 of 522 students in its graduating group finished on time, a 97.3% rate. The math score is high against the state's -42.4 but well below the district's other school, so look at course options and support if math matters to your child.
Saratoga High and open enrollment between the two
The district's second school, Saratoga High, scored 116.5 in English and 109.6 in math, with a 96.0% graduation rate. Students living in one school's area can apply to transfer to the other during the district's open enrollment window, which ran from January 5 to February 13 for 2026.
Which middle schools feed the high schools
The high school district's enrollment page names four feeder districts: Los Gatos Union, Saratoga Union, Loma Prieta and Lakeside. Students coming from one of these do not need to submit extra records such as immunization history. The district also serves parts of Campbell, San Jose and Santa Cruz County, so a Los Gatos address is not the only way in, and not every Los Gatos mailing address is in it.
Mountain districts with Los Gatos addresses
Homes in the hills south of town often have a Los Gatos mailing address but sit in a small mountain school district. Two of them feed Los Gatos-Saratoga high schools.
Loma Prieta Joint Union Elementary
The district scored 52.0 points above standard in English and 53.3 in math, both Blue. Loma Prieta Elementary scored 57.6 and 61.3, and C. T. English Middle scored 51.0 and 50.3. Chronic absence was 8.0% district-wide.
Lakeside Joint
Lakeside Elementary is the only Lakeside school in the Dashboard files. It scored 53.1 above standard in English and 45.1 in math, gains of about 31 and 34 points, but too few students were tested for the state to assign a color to the school. Chronic absence was 11.6%, rated Orange.
School choice and enrollment in Los Gatos
The Los Gatos Union School District opened registration for 2026-27 on February 2, 2026. Registration is online: you check residency on the district's School Locator Map, gather documents, pre-register and then complete forms in the PowerSchool parent portal. From 2025-26, transitional kindergarten is open to every child who turns four by September 1 of the school year.
The high school district asks for proof of residency and does not accept utility bills for it. It also runs a yearly residency verification audit, so expect to show documents again after you enroll. Both districts levy parcel taxes on homeowners: the high school district's Measure A is $128 a year, with exemptions for owners 65 and older and for owners who receive SSI or SSDI for a disability. The elementary district offers similar senior, contiguous-parcel and SSI exemptions; ask its business office for the current amount.
How to check schools for a Los Gatos address
Use the district locator, not the listing
Enter the exact address in the Los Gatos Union School District's School Locator Map, then confirm the result with the district office at 17010 Roberts Road. For high school, use the boundary check linked from the Los Gatos-Saratoga district's enrollment page. A listing's school field is a guess by the seller's agent and is often wrong near district lines.
Read the Dashboard and the school's SARC
Search the school on caschooldashboard.org for results by student group and by year, then read its School Accountability Report Card, linked from the district site, for class sizes and staffing.
Buy with the line in mind
A school can fill, boundaries can change, and enrollment is never promised by a home purchase. Ask the district about capacity at your school before you close. Our Los Gatos homes for sale guide covers the other address checks, and the Los Gatos ZIP code guide compares prices by ZIP.
