Red Bluff school results on the 2025 California School Dashboard
The California School Dashboard rates each school and district on a five-color scale, from Red (lowest) through Orange, Yellow and Green to Blue (highest), combining the current result with the change from the year before. For English and math it reports "distance from standard": how far, in points, the average student scored above or below the grade-level standard on state tests. Zero means students met the standard on average. The table shows every Red Bluff Union Elementary and Red Bluff Joint Union High school with enough tested students for a color, from the 2025 Dashboard data files.

Red Bluff high schools
Red Bluff Joint Union High School District, at 1525 Douglass Street (530-529-8700), runs Red Bluff High and Salisbury High. Its facilities office collects school developer fees for the Red Bluff elementary district and for the Antelope, Evergreen, Gerber, Lassen View and Reeds Creek districts, a sign of how many small districts sit around the city.

Elementary districts around Red Bluff
Many homes with a Red Bluff mailing address are not in the Red Bluff elementary district. The Tehama County Treasurer-Tax Collector's 2025-2026 tax rate list includes separate tax areas labeled Antelope, Evergreen, Reeds Creek and Lassen View, each with its own elementary district. Check the district on the property tax bill or with the district office before you rely on any school below.

School choice in Red Bluff: transfers, charters and the county office
Living at an address is not the only way into a school. Red Bluff Union Elementary posts separate forms for intradistrict transfers (between its own schools) and interdistrict transfers (into or out of the district), including a parent childcare or employment verification form. Red Bluff High posts its own interdistrict application and points families to the Tehama County Department of Education for more on transfers. The county office also runs programs that appear on the Dashboard, such as Lincoln Street and the Tehama eLearning Academy. Ask each program about its enrollment rules and transportation.
For TK and kindergarten, Red Bluff Union's page for fall 2026 says children who turn five on or before September 1, 2026 can enroll in kindergarten, and those who turn four by that date can enroll in transitional kindergarten. Online registration opened February 3, 2026 and requires photo ID, address verification, proof of birth and immunization records.
How to check which school serves a Red Bluff address
We never say a home is zoned for a school. Boundaries change and districts can overflow students to other schools when a grade fills. Use these steps instead.
- Find the elementary district on the property tax bill: the tax rate area label on the Tehama County list shows whether the parcel is in Red Bluff, Antelope, Evergreen, Reeds Creek, Lassen View or another district.
- Call the district office with the street address and ask which school is the school of residence for the grade you need.
- Look up that school on the California School Dashboard and read its School Accountability Report Card, linked from each district's site.
- Visit, and ask about class sizes, math support and transportation.
School bonds also show up on your tax bill. On the 2025-2026 list, the Red Bluff Elementary 2018 bond adds 0.0084% and the Red Bluff High 2017 bond 0.0145%, a combined $68.70 a year on a $300,000 assessed value. Red Bluff Union's site also describes Measure M (2024) for security and building infrastructure. New construction pays school developer fees, which the high school district collects for several local districts; it lists a residential rate of 4.79 for the Red Bluff districts, so ask the district office for the unit and the current amount. Our Tehama County property tax guide explains the rates, and our Red Bluff homes guide covers the rest of a purchase.
