Why Laguna Beach has two featured agents
Laguna Beach is a one-ZIP city where Redfin's median sale price was $3,285,935 in the three months to September 2026, but where the same three months included condos near $1.4 million and oceanfront estates listed for $20 million or more. Very few agents work the whole of that range every week. We feature two teams because they cover it from different angles: one based in town and focused on Laguna and its neighbors, one based in Newport Beach with one of the largest luxury practices in the county.
This is our recommendation, not a ranking of every agent in the city. Interview more than one agent before you sign a listing or buyer agreement, and check every license yourself.

Choosing between the two featured Laguna Beach teams
Both teams sell high-end coastal property, so the choice is less about quality and more about fit. These are the questions that tend to decide it.
Where the Laguna Beach team is based
Alcove Collective's office is on Coast Highway in downtown Laguna Beach, and its website lists Laguna Beach first among its areas, followed by Newport Beach, Dana Point and other Orange County cities. The Tim Smith Real Estate Group works from Newport Center in Newport Beach, and its listings run from Newport Coast and Corona del Mar to Dana Point and Laguna Beach.
Price range in Laguna Beach and beyond
The RealTrends 2025 averages give a guide: $3.01 million for Alcove Collective and $4.30 million for the Tim Smith Real Estate Group. Both sit at or above Laguna Beach's typical price, and both list homes well above it. If you are buying or selling a condo or a smaller cottage, ask each team how many sales they closed under $2 million last year.
Team size and who handles your Laguna Beach sale
Alcove Collective has six licensed agents on its team page, plus a marketing manager. RealTrends lists the Tim Smith Real Estate Group as a large team, and the group's own award notes place it among teams of 11 to 20 agents. In either case, ask who will be at your showings, who negotiates, and who manages escrow.
Marketing a Laguna Beach listing
Homes in Laguna Beach took a median of 71 days to sell in the three months to September 2026 (Redfin), so the marketing plan matters. Ask each team for a sample plan, the average days on market of their own Laguna Beach listings, and how often they reduced prices.
Fees in Laguna Beach after 2024
Since the August 2024 NAR settlement, buyers sign a written agreement with their agent before touring, and buyer-agent pay is negotiated directly rather than shown on the MLS. Ask both teams for their fee in writing. Our California real estate commission guide explains the options.
What either agent will be working with in Laguna Beach
Redfin counted 89 sales and 158 active listings in Laguna Beach in the three months to September 2026, with 5.4 months of supply and an average sale at 96.1% of list. Zillow's typical home value reached a record $3,043,251 in September 2026, up 6.8% in a year. Our Laguna Beach guide and Laguna Beach housing market page have the detail, and the ZIP 92651 data page tracks the monthly figures.
How we chose these Laguna Beach agents
For each team we confirmed the lead license and responsible broker on the DRE public lookup, checked 2025 production on RealTrends, opened the team's website and read public reviews. We looked for active Laguna Beach listings and sales, not just a service-area claim. Every featured agent passes the same checks. The full method is on how we choose agents.
