How to read the California School Dashboard for Lincoln schools
The California School Dashboard is the state's official report card. For English and math it reports "distance from standard": how far a school's average score on the state tests sits above or below the line for meeting grade-level standards. Zero means students on average just met the standard. A positive number is above it. The Dashboard also gives each result a color from red (lowest) through orange, yellow and green to blue (highest), based on the current level and the change from the year before.
All figures on this page come from the California Department of Education's 2025 Dashboard data files, for all students at each school. Small schools with fewer than 30 tested students do not get a color. Test results are one measure. Visit the school, read its School Accountability Report Card and ask about class sizes and programs before you decide.

Twelve Bridges Middle School
The highest English result of any school in the district in 2025, 42.6 points above standard, and one of only a few above standard in math. The district says it moved Lincoln Crossing students out of this feeder path because Twelve Bridges Middle and High are overcrowded.
Glen Edwards Middle School
Scored below standard in both subjects in 2025, with orange ratings and small declines from 2024. The district plans to expand Glen Edwards onto the First Street Elementary campus after First Street closes in June 2029, and it will take Lincoln Crossing students from 2028-2029. Lincoln Crossing, Carlin C. Coppin and Sheridan elementary schools

The district says seven schools are at or near capacity and restrict incoming transfers from other districts: Twelve Bridges High, Twelve Bridges Middle, Twelve Bridges Elementary, Lincoln Crossing, Scott Leaman, Carlin C. Coppin and Foskett Ranch. Requests for those schools may be refused or routed to schools with space. The City of Lincoln also lists a tuition-based private school serving preschool through 8th grade. Sierra College and William Jessup University, both listed by the city, offer college courses, and WPUSD runs dual enrollment for high school students.
School changes already approved in Lincoln
Three board decisions will change which schools some Lincoln addresses attend. Check them before you buy, because a listing's school information may be out of date.
- Lincoln Crossing Elementary feeder change, 2028-2029. Approved November 4, 2025. Lincoln Crossing students will go on to Glen Edwards Middle and Lincoln High instead of the Twelve Bridges schools. Students with an older sibling at Twelve Bridges Middle or High may follow that sibling, and other families may request a transfer.
- First Street Elementary closure, June 2029. On November 4, 2025 the board approved repurposing the campus as an expansion of Glen Edwards Middle, and the district says First Street will close at the end of the 2028-2029 school year.
- New Liberty at Lincoln TK-8 school, expected 2030-2031. Planned at the southwest end of Ferrari Ranch Road in a partnership between WPUSD, the City of Lincoln and Lewis Group of Communities. Until it opens, students in that area attend Scott M. Leaman, Glen Edwards and Lincoln High.
How to check which schools serve a Lincoln address
Never rely on a listing, a builder brochure or a map website for school assignment. Builders such as Tri Pointe list nearby schools for their communities but add that buyers should check with the district. Use these steps instead:
- Enter the address in WPUSD's Find Your School tool, linked from the district's boundaries page.
- Compare the result with the district's elementary, middle and high school boundary maps on the same page.
- Call the district office at (916) 645-6350 to confirm, and ask whether any approved boundary change affects the address.
- Look up each school on the California School Dashboard for this year's results.
